Product Overview Of Ferro Silicon
Ferrosilicon is an alloy of iron and silicon, often abbreviated as FeSi. Ferrosilicon is an iron-silicon alloy smelted in an electric furnace using coke, steel scraps and quartz (or silicon dioxide) as raw materials.
Ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer in the steelmaking process and a reducing agent in ferroalloy production and the chemical industry. In the steelmaking industry, about 3-5 kg of 75% ferrosilicon is consumed for every ton of steel produced.
