Regular Power Graphite Electrode
Moderate resistivity
Low resistivity compared to UHP, high resistivity compared to HP, at a medium level.
Good conductivity
Although not as good as UHP, it has higher conductivity than HP graphite electrodes.
Moderate cost
The manufacturing process is relatively simple, and the cost is lower than UHP, but higher than HP graphite electrodes.

Types Of Graphite Electrode

UHP Graphite Electrode

Low Electrical Resistance, High Density,Ultra High Power graphite electrode is mainly used for ultra high power electric arc furnaces with the current density greater than 25 A/cm2.

HP Graphite Electrode

High Resistivity graphite electrode the Diameters Range From 200 mm to 600 mm,HP graphite electrode is mainly used for high power electric arc furnaces with the current density range of 18–25 A/cm2.

RP Graphite Electrode

Good Electrical Conductivity, Low Consumption,Regular Power graphite electrode is mainly used for regular power electric arc furnaces to smelt scrap steel, silicon and yellow phosphorus.

UHP graphite electrode is used for the recycling of steel in the electric arc furnace industry. Its main ingredient is high-value needle coke which is made from either petroleum or coal tar. Graphite electrodes are finished with a cylinder shape and machined with threaded areas at each end.
