Chinese Silicon metal is made by smelting silica and carbonaceous reducing agent in the ore furnace. The content of silicon is about 98%, which is the main component of silicon metal. The remaining impurities are iron, aluminum, calcium and so on. It is silver or dark powder with metallic luster, which has high melting point, good heat resistance, high resistivity and superior oxidation resistance.
