Introduction to Ferro Vanadium 40

Ferrovanadium is an alloy consisting of vanadium and iron. It usually exists as a solid alloy with a vanadium content of between 30% and 90%. Ferrovanadium 40 contains approximately 40% vanadium and a certain proportion of iron. By adding vanadium, the hardness, strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of steel can be increased, while the heat treatment properties of the steel can be improved.

Production Process of Ferrovanadium 40

The production of Ferrovanadium 40 is a complex and energy-consuming process that requires careful control and precise measurement.

Ore dressing: First, iron and vanadium-containing ores are extracted from vanadium-containing ores.

Smelting: The ore after ore dressing is placed in a high-temperature smelting furnace together with reducing agents such as coke and limestone for smelting. At high temperatures, vanadium oxide is reduced to metallic vanadium, and other impurities are removed to form a vanadium-containing liquid alloy.

  1. Adding other raw materials: Add appropriate amounts of iron and other alloying elements to the vanadium-containing liquid alloy after smelting to adjust the content of vanadium and other impurities in the alloy to meet specific alloy requirements.
  2. Stirring and mixing: The added raw materials are fully mixed by stirring and mixing to ensure the consistency of the alloy composition.
  1. Casting: Pour the adjusted alloy liquid into the alloy mold and cast it according to the required shape and size.
  2. Cooling: Let the casting cool and solidify in the mold to form a solid Ferrovanadium 40 alloy block or other shaped products.
  1. Crushing: crush the cooled vanadium iron 40 alloy to make it into granular material suitable for the next step of processing.
  2. Screening: separate particles of different sizes through the screening process to meet different application requirements.

Zhen An Metallurgy strictly controls the raw materials and production process of its products to ensure that the final product meets the requirements of customers and contains the required composition and quality and granularity.
